Andrew Barker –
Andrew Barker is a founding partner who has been with the firm since its inception. His main responsibilities include client relationship management, business development, advisory services, and strategic planning, particularly in business sales and exit planning. Andrew values the trust placed in him by clients, allowing him a privileged insight into their financial operations. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys family time, travelling, and the occasional game of golf. Fun fact: While accounting might seem rigid, Andrew believes that interpreting financial data involves a blend of creativity, making it both an art and a science.
Diane Kelly –
Diane Kelly has been a dedicated Payroll Manager with our firm for 10 years. She ensures that all aspects of payroll, CIS, and auto-enrolment are completed accurately and on time by her and her team. With a Level 4 AAT qualification, Diane’s key skills include exceptional customer service, attentive listening, numerical aptitude, forward-thinking, and problem-solving. Outside of work, Diane enjoys spending time with her kids and grandkids, participating in Zumba, and socialising with friends and family.
Fiona Heyes –
Fiona Heyes is a Partner at CCM, overseeing various aspects of the firm’s tax practice. Her responsibilities include client relationship management, tax planning and compliance, team leadership, business development, technical expertise, risk management, financial management, and strategic planning. Fiona holds qualifications including AAT, ATT, and CTA, and her key skills include technical tax knowledge, communication, client and team management, and business development. Outside of work, Fiona enjoys attending live music events, spending time with family and friends, and completing DIY projects.
Ian Thompstone –
Ian Thompstone serves as an Independent Financial Adviser, primarily focusing on providing financial advice to clients in collaboration with their accountancy needs. He holds a Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS) and finds immense satisfaction in helping clients safeguard their assets and plan for their futures. A fun fact about Ian: In addition to his professional endeavors, Ian stays busy supporting his son, who is a drummer in two bands. He also enjoys watching football and spending time with his lovely daughter and wife outside of work.
Kirsty Shepherdson –
Kirsty Shepherdson, our Senior Accountant, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. With a background of owning her own business for 18 years, Kirsty possesses extensive bookkeeping knowledge, offering a unique perspective that combines the insights of both an accountant and a business owner. In her capacity as Senior Accountant, Kirsty’s main duties involve preparing Ltd Company accounts and corporation tax returns, as well as handling the preparation and submission of VAT returns. Outside of work, Kirsty enjoys unwinding by going on holiday, indulging in well-deserved relaxation and exploration.
Laura Delaney –
Laura Delaney has been a dedicated member of Carter Collins & Myer since 2011, specialising as a Personal Tax Accountant. She works in the tax department, handling personal tax matters, including Self-Assessment, Sole Trade, and Partnership accounts. She holds AAT Levels 2, 3, and 4 qualifications and is currently studying for her ATT. Her organisational and methodical nature, combined with her reliance on lists, makes her highly effective in her role. Outside of work, Laura is passionate about the gym, training for both physical and mental health, participating in competitions, walking, and relaxing at home.
Mandy Coombs –
Mandy Coombs is a dedicated accountant at Carter Collins & Myer, bringing over 13 years of experience to the team. Mandy ensures that clients’ statutory requirements are meticulously met, particularly in filing annual accounts and VAT returns. Mandy holds notable qualifications, including being an Associate of the Institute of Financial Accountants (AFA) and an Associate of the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT). Mandy’s journey into the accounting industry was driven by her natural affinity for working with numbers. Outside of work, Mandy cherishes spending quality time with her family and friends, further enriching her life beyond the office.
Matthew Law –
Matthew Law has been an essential part of Carter Collins & Myer for more than 14 years and he has worked right across the firm in that time. His primary responsibilities now include looking after a portfolio of clients full accounting this ensuring they have clear financial systems and clear tax plans. He holds an AAT qualification and is skilled in problem-solving, thinking outside conventional solutions, and embracing new technologies and aspects of the accounting profession. Outside of work, Matthew enjoys football, spending time with his young family, and taking days out to create lasting memories.
Mo Saleem –
Meet Mo Saleem, the Senior Associate, whose multifaceted role encompasses infrastructure maintenance, anti-money laundering (AML) compliance, and accountancy work. Since joining the company in October 2012, Mo has been instrumental in ensuring the firm’s operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. As a seasoned professional, Mo holds several qualifications and accreditations, including MAAT, AAIA, and AFA. His proficiency in problem-solving, task management, and procedure analysis makes him an asset to the company, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to regulatory standards. Outside of work, Mo enjoys engaging in DIY projects, restoring cars, and exploring different cuisines.
Mohammed Syfullah –
This is Mohammed Syfullah, our Senior Accountant for the past six years. In his role, Mohammed’s primary responsibilities include preparing Final Accounts, managing VAT, and handling bookkeeping duties. Mohammed cherishes the dynamic nature of his job. No two clients or sets of accounts are alike, presenting him with new challenges and learning opportunities regularly. Outside of work, Mohammed finds joy in spending time with his family and exploring new food and dining experiences. Whether trying out new restaurants or experimenting with different cuisines, he appreciates the simple pleasures of life beyond the office.
Rob Newman –
Rob Newman is the Managing Partner, whose dynamic leadership has been shaping the firm since 2012. With a diverse background and a passion for martial arts, Rob brings a unique perspective to the team. With many qualifications and accreditations, including memberships in various accounting and management institutes, Rob is well-equipped to excel in his role. Rob’s journey into the industry began over 25 years ago, driven by his passion for helping individuals and businesses achieve their goals. His diverse background, which includes experiences as a chef, soldier, and bodybuilder, brings a unique perspective to his work. Whether it’s practicing martial arts or enjoying other outdoor activities, Rob finds balance and fulfillment beyond the office walls.
Sean Keenan –
Meet Sean Keenan, the Senior Accountant, whose expertise and dedication have been instrumental in the firm’s success for over a decade. Sean’s passion for his job is evident, particularly in the relationships he’s built with his colleagues. With qualifications in AAT and a wealth of experience gained from managing his own business for six years, Sean brings valuable insights and expertise. Despite common misconceptions, Sean highlights that the tax and accountancy industry is far from mundane. Outside of work, Sean’s interests lie in travelling and socialising, where he finds relaxation and rejuvenation away from the demands of the office.
